Most Helpful Negative Review Magpul handguard
This handguard is well made, but requires removal of the sling attachment. I cut the forward lower part off so I could use the sling attachment on my rifle. Don't buy it if you want to use the stock sling attachment. I guess Magpul made it like this to sell their own hardware for use of a sling.

Easy install on a S&W M&P AR15

Took me a little while to get the hang of depressing the spring lock without the handy tool. Once I figured that out took all of ten minutes to get the stock handguard off and the new Magpul installed. Fits like a glove! If you have the stock M&P just know that you have to remove the sling attachment on the front sights in order to fit this handguard. Just knock out the pin.

The handguard is sturdy and fits really snug. The heat shield is pretty beefy and should do the trick. Upper and lower fit really tight.

Slightly Better than Original Carbine Stock...But only Slightly....

My only critique. The M-lok slot locations and lack thereof....None at the twelve O'clock and the ones "towards" the top are slightly angled at the two O'clock. Why didn't they have a picatinny rail molded into the top half of the handguard ? Wasted realestate IMO. Makes it difficult if not impossible to mount a DBAL or anything similar. Huge and VERY obvious mistake IMO. Otherwise a VERY SOLID piece, well made and amazingly perfect fit and good price....Yes I could get a fully outfitted pic rail h-guard, but that means covering unused rail portions adding more weight to the rifle.

Nice replacement for stock handgrip

Love the way it looks way better quality from the stock piece. Feels way better. And 3 places for accessories with no added weight. I actually think it is lighter than the stock handgrip. Would prefer a 12 o'clock position for mounts too.

Awesome, but installing is a pain

I installed this w/ the help of a delta ring removal tool. Prepare to let a few curse words out, as you install. However, once it is on, it is on. Lightweight and sturdy. 10/10 would recommend
