I have four complaints about this plate:
1. It is rather noisy, because the ring is free to swing around.
2. The loop covers up half of the castle nut, so you can't really use your armorer's wrench properly.

Magpul Industries ASAP Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point
This is the 3rd one of these I have purchased, I feel it is the best solution for me for a rear sling mount on an AR15 rifle or pistol because it is very robust and it is positioned against the rear of the receiver in the strongest location possible and It is also a great option for single or 2 point slings. I have purchased many items from Optics Planet and have always found they are a safe and reliable company to do business with.

If you want a rear sling mount that has a quick disconnect function, the ability to transition to non-dominant side without binding, & you want dependability, this is a part for you.

The sling adapter jingles, which is not very sneaky. I cut the free moving metal off and it still works. No more jingle.

Wonderful mount
Works great and seems to be built like a tank. Keeps the stock perfectly centered as well which just makes it easier to assemble back together. SOME CASTLE NUT WRENCHES MAY NOT WORK, the way it is shaped leaves it so only smaller castle nut wrenches will work so the big multi tool wrenches will have some problems getting to the nut.

Very secure but noisy
I really like the strong attachment and freedom of movement this device provides but the loose oval ring that allows this is just a bit clunky and noisy. Not a deal breaker just saying. All in all this is a great way to do a single point sling.

Extremely well made. Get the most out of a single point sling
This is an extremely well made and tough product. I find single point slings to be excellent for stalking hogs in thick brush. The ASAP allows full use of the sling with 180+ degrees of smooth and quiet movement. I trust its connection much more than the little metal balls in the QD systems.

Great product
This product is very good. I recomend. Its ambidextrous and very easy instalation. It comes with two options of pin lock, mil-spec and civilian. Strong steal material. I really apreciate this product.
