Good 'ol Pmags. I like getting a few 10 round mags for shooting off a bench or bipod. They sit flush up to the magwell so they won't hit the table or ground.
Best Used for:
- Bench/bipod/prone shooting

I have purchased these Magpul PMAG magazines before and they are worth the cost. They fit well and operate flawlessly.

You can’t go wrong with these magazines.
Easy to handle and manipulate when you’re loading rounds into the magazine, and when you’re loading the magazine into the Magwell.
They easily stand vertically on their own, even after fully loaded due to its flared base.
I like the soft polymer feeling and texture of these magazines opposed to the thin metal and slippery casings of other magazines.
The follower plate does not rattle around inside and create a bunch of unnecessary noise.
I find them worth every penny.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- easy to load
- No sharp corners

It does what it’s supposed to do. I like the smaller capacity when bench shooting so a 30 rd isn’t hanging in the way.

Magpaul makes good products, and this is a good product. I just find it to be a ridiculous item for an AR, but since the communist state I live in is banning any magazines over 10 rounds, I have to spend money on ridiculous items. Thanks, Va.

Wanting a reliable 10 mag for monitoring reloads and mastering powder, crimp and SD data etc.
I won’t lie the first two sent both misfed on 3rd and 7th round. Optics staff were honest and said, there’s no trouble shooting, it’s just defective. Send them to us and we’ll replace or refund. The process was simple and I received two new magazines.
Used them in AR pistol, worked great. Excellent feed, no jams nor misfeeds, groupings all around an inch or less at 100yds. With 1x red dot.
You do need a little extra force to make magazine go in snug compared to a 30rd, but I suspect this is because it is lighter. The 30rd I’m gentle use the same make of magazine and it always engages. I’d say about 2-3x the force. The first round chambers smoother than the 30mag (which I’ve also had no trouble with).
I’d highly recommend this item, and it works great for my reloading purposes, easy to use, feels tighter and loads great. Also removes need for stands etc to get the longer magazine out of the way when shooting. (Especially when prone).
Optics Planet staff were great in talking me through the returns process, first and only item I have ever had to send back. Great staff, great help and true to their customer commitment.
Pros:
- Useful when shooting prone
- Great for reload gathering data
- Very Smooth Feed
Best Used for:
- Reloading
- States where proper high capacity magazines prohibited

They always work, no feeding issues at all. They hold ten rounds for those of us in states with magazine restrictions, best option out there especially if you couple them together end to end with a base plate coupler. Closest we can get to a true 30rd mag, and the two coupled together are the same length as a 30 rounder.

Pros:
- Cost & availability
- Size & Height
- Weight & operation
Best Used for:
- Long barrels
- AR15 platform
