When I first started hunting with my AR I used the 30 rd mags that I always had for the gun. After carrying that around for a few days I realized the 30 rd mags, while cool looking, suck for hunting. I found myself always knocking the magazine, or having it poke or just get in the way. So went out and got one of these 10 rounders and couldn't be happier. With the 10 rounder my AR carries a lot like my other hunting rifles making it much easier to carry for any extended period of time.
