Comfortable, cheap, and now easier to install
This is the best "enhanced" AR trigger guard. The edges of the standard aluminum milspec trigger guard can beat up un-gloved hands, especially when cold. The rounded polymer of this Magpul guard is gentler on the hand. Polymer is also less of a heat conductor, so it doesn't get cold (or hot) as easi...

Go back to the pins
For the most part, I believe MAGPUL makes some good stuff. However, this is an/the exception. Using the 1/16" hex key to hand tighten the front and rear set screws is nothing but a joke. Don't worry about over tightening the set screw and damaging the Trigger Guard, you won't get that far. There...

Magpul, solid as usual
Not much elaborate on considering its a basic trigger guard. That being said Magpul never dissapoints & makes quality solid products. It works great and as listed. I really liked the new or at least different approach of instalation parts included. The fact that this particular trigger guard being that its polymer came with 3 metal threaded set screws which made instalation very easy & fast and a lot less of a hassle than the common roll pin requiring a hammer & punch set. All you need for this one is a very small allen or hex key & your all set. Not to take a jab at Optics Planet but my one complaint is considering theyre size of operation & the amount of buisness we bring them, they really would benefit from makin more of an effort on being a little more speedy & prompt reguarding processing & shipping time.

Very durable and practical
I like this polymer version much better than the aluminum trigger guard!!! you don't have the roll-pin to deal with taking any chance of cracking or breaking the lower receiver!!! Just three set -screws and you are done!!! Plus it is cheaper too.
Pros:
- Durable and practical
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- AR-15 & AR-10
Would recommend: Yes
Very durable and practical
I like this all-plastic (polymer) Enhanced Trigger Guard over the aluminum version. There is no roll-pin that is subject to breaking the frame during installation!!! There are three set-screws to screw in and it is done!!! This is A very clever design feature!!! I also like the idea that if the polymer takes A shock, there is less chance of cracking or breaking the frame!!! This is also cheaper than the aluminum version that is doing the same job of protecting the trigger any way!!!
Pros:
- durable, practical, cheaper
Cons:
- None especially at price point
Best Used for:
- all weather with gloves on
Would recommend: Yes
Should be OEM
***Support the lower receiver tabs that hold the factory trigger guard in place when driving out the original!!! Have seen an issued weapon destroyed by a poor install attempt of this part*** Your middle finger knuckle on your shooting hand will thank you (IYKYK) and super easy to install.
Pros:
- No more knuckle calluses
Cons:
- None
Would recommend: Yes

Adds extra room
Looks good and adds plenty of room if you are wearing gloves. Easy to install and seems plenty durable.

Good trigger guard
A bit confusing to install as it doesnt use a rool pin. But well made.
Would recommend: Yes
use on all my builds
This eliminates the possibility of breaking your trigger tabs. A must have because Magpul uses screws.

magpul enhanced
First time installing one. Very easy to install after watching a few videos. Just wish it came with the 1/8 hex key/Allen key tool to tighten. Luckily I had one already. Well made and Definitely recommend.

Mag pul enhanced trigger guard
I really want to like this product. Made of polymer, and lightweight, perfect. Installing it and seeing what goes into it kinda defeats the traditional use. In my opinion. To install, you have to get an Itty bitty Allen wrench for 1/16 hex screw.so i don't know exactly how you are supposed to swing it down so you can use it with thick gloves. Needless to say I stripped the tiny bolt, I prefer the run of the mil trigger guard. Great idea. Just not for me. Hope this helps.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Customizable
- Green
Cons:
- Install a pain
- Not practical
Would recommend: No
