I initially ordered this product from Amazon and it didn’t come with hardware. Should’ve came here first, optics planet even shipped it faster.
Great upgrade for the 6.5, grip angle is a lot more comfortable and has a sturdy and rigid feel.

The barrel wasn’t perfectly centered in the stock but it was very easy to install, took almost no time at all and made the rifle look awesome. I recommend it for anyone wanting to upgrade your rifle and not break the bank or pay almost add much for the stock as you did your rifle in the first place.

Fit is excellent. It is heavier built and designed. Definite improvement. Nice upgrade to your axis rifle.

It provided a much stiffer and stable platform and chassis for the rifle. I have the Walmart exclusive Savage Axis 2 with bull barrel and it fits it perfectly. With optic mounted it is the perfect eye relief and height. It immediately improved the performance of the rifle as far as accuracy. It isn't going to make you a better shot on it's own, but if you were a good shot to begin with it, you will see more accurate shots and tighter groups. Being able to go from factory 4 round magazine to a 10 aics box magazine is a plus. It will never be a $5000 precision rifle, but it will be far better than you ever imagined. This stock, plus quality glass, and under $300 starting price and you could shoot very respectable groups out to 600 to 800 yards. Experts could probably take it out farther with hand loads and superior glass.

My gun has the old gen I AXIS II stock not the new factory stock which is closer to this stock and fits the old guns too. This Magpul stock is definitely heavier than the older AXIS II stock but MUCH more substantial and it's worth it to me. The old AXIS II stock is spindly. Where you right hand holds the stock it's crazy thin. Yes, it worked but it's just spindly. I have a 243 so I was getting by fine with it but the Magpul has a much more substantial grip, a pistol grip and you can adjust the length of pull up to 2 inches in half inch increments. I didn't use it, but it has an insert for left hand guns. It also has the MLOCK attachment system if you want to use that. It dropped right in and free floats the barrel like stock maybe more than stock. It has an engraved stock colored F that is exposed when you take the safety off but I filled in the F with florescent red paint. Magpul makes nice products in general and for the price it would be hard to do better.

This stock enhanced my Savage Axis in .308, Better ergonomics than the Standard Equipped Stock. Easy installation, Comfortable fit with the Adjustable Recoil pad system. I highly recommend this for the Savage Axis. Well worth the investment.

Very nice functional piece. Barrel centers in the channel and I like the grip angle. Removable cheek riser fits nice and tight for a solid cheek weld. It should function well for a higher mounted optic such as thermal. When removed the comb seems to be the perfect height for 40 mm objective day glass mounted low close to the barrel. Has Mlok slots far enough back on the bottom of the forearm that an Arca Swiss plate can bemounted reward enough that the rifle can be mounted all the way forward for best balance on a tripod. This stock will accommodate shooting standing from a tripod or sitting and shooting off a knee or shooting sticks. I will be experimenting and comparing these to my chassis set up I use for night hunting. I'm confident they will perform as well while weighing less.

The Hunter Lite transformed my Savage Axis 223 heavy barrel into a gun so much nicer to shoot. Using the Magpul Aics mag for 556 it's silky smooth. The factory stock and mags held 4 rounds and feed rough. This is a monster of a change.
