Does not bring your light closer in to your weapon
Save your money, if your trying to bring your scout light in closer to your weapon, your better off just mounting a rail and mounting your light to it. Mounting your light with this actually puts the light farther out from your weapon.
Perfect mount for Streamlight ProTac HL-X
I have Streamlight ProTac HL-X lights on all my rifles. They are mounted at the front of the rail on the right side about 1 or 2 o'clock, which allows more room to grip the front of the rail. I've gone through a number mounting options including the 45 degree mount that now comes with the ProTac. This Magpul offset mount holds it a little farther away from the gun and allows room for a MBUS 3 flip up site to sit right beside the front of the light. It's the only mount that has worked for this set up. As with everything Magpul, it is light, strong, and well-made. The mount comes with screws that can directly attach the ProTac without using the quick release thumb-screw on the light. All this, of course, works with Surefire lights as well.

Very good substitute.
There are several on the market but they are much more expensive. I have 4 of these on my personal rifles, and I have used several on builds for others. After years of using and abusing they all have held up with no issues.

Perfect for my Needs
This has been a great product for me. It puts the light right where I want it, which is closer to my thumb (me) so I can activate it without much adjustment. Due to the size of 1913 rails and typical light mount size, I was unable to use a standard rail at the 1 o'clock. This gets me as close to that as I'm going to get. Also, running a laser, this puts my light and laser about 1mm apart where they mount up. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Magpul light mount
I got this for a pistol build and thought it would look better than a 90 degree mount. The lock up was good and held my streamlight up out of grip range and in a position that won’t create a shadow on the poa. It’s light and a good value as is all Magpul.

Small and puts the light where you want it.
Fits the bill nicely. Tucks the flashlight in nice and tight and there is no barrel shadow. At this price there is nothing to lose.give it a shot and you don't regret it. Magpul for the win yet again.
