Magpul quality & engineering
Works great as a direct mount for a Scout style light or in conjunction with their V-block & rings for a regular weapon light. I've also mounted a Streamlight TLR-1 HL to it. Provides a comfortable place to rest your thumb, especially when used in conjunction with their AFG. Worked great with an A-2 sight, but if you have a pic-rail gas block and you're using folding sights be aware that you may run into some issues if those sights use a button to deploy or fold. Perfect solution to mount a light...
Not only can you drop a surefire scout light on here... My surefire X300 ultra mounted right onto it too. This mount puts my light right where I want it. Its solid, doesn't loosen from shooting. Great product.

Great Light mount for carbine length handguards
I have a basic AR-15 that I wanted to add a light to, I have carbine length Magpul MOE hand guards and they (like most carbine hand guards) don't leave much room for accessories. This, mounted at the forefront, let me add a pistol light forward enough to hit it with my support hand thumb, very nice without having to fiddle with switching out the gas block, etc. to get longer hand guards to mount the light. I am very happy with this and my other Magpul products.

Amazing light mount for a great price.
This mount was exactly what I needed. It works perfectly for my Streamlight TLR-1 and setup was simple. Less than five minutes and I had my light attached to my rifle and ready to go. Just be sure to get the correct one for your needs; it comes in a left and right model. Overall, it's sturdy, simple and IT's CHEAP!!! Amazing deal.

Another Option!
This product gives you another option on mounting a weapon light to a Magpul MOE hand rails.
Very close to front sight. Personally I would of liked to be able to have the option of flipping the scout over to use in the 5&7 clock positions on the opposite side, but it can only be mounted in one position depending on which side you buy, left or right.
