Most Helpful Negative Review Great Idea, not ready for prime time.
I run lot's of 33 round Glock mag's. Figured this would cut down on time and energy. Too bad, it almost works well. The handles feels flimsy as does the entire thing. I could not get it through any one entire mag without jamming. It would run OK for a bit then jam up. Or the mag would pop out of the retainer. I then timed the loading with a MagLula vs this gadget, the Maglula took 1 minute per 33 rd mag. This took over 2.5 minutes and that assumes it did not totally jam up. Sorry guys, this is just not ready for prime time. I wanted to love this.

The item doesn't work with any other kind of ammo other than fmj and getting a real person when you call customer service will not answer and getting a refund is nearly impossible it will jam your magazine with ammo going in all different ways a basic speed loader is better than this product do not get any of these products
Pros:
  • Not recommend
Cons:
  • Cheap material
  • Customer Service - Had to leave message
  • Doesn't work with hollow points
  • Jammed magazine
Best Used for:
  • shoveling snow

Out Freaking STANDING!

by Christopher, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on February 10, 2022
This product exceeded my expectations. A tiny learning curve to figure out the best rhythm then it chews through bullets. I was headed for a range session and it topped off 4 Glock Happy Sticks in a couple of minutes... I changed the insert and filled 4 P320 mags in about a minute and a half. I like that you just fill the hopper and the loader doesn't care which way the rounds enter. I am pretty quick with an UPLULA(and off course one of those lives in my range bag) but if you have a lot of mags to fill up this is a solid piece of equipment and a great value.

dump 9mm magpump

by Mo, from CA, United States Written on June 11, 2020
I tried to use this with Springfield mag loader. It would not load, loaded shells upside down etc. I tried different OEM mags. It never fully loaded a single mag. If you watch any of the videos they ONLY use “FMJ” shells. As others buyers stated, save your money.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • doesnt work
Best Used for:
  • Boat anchor for a very small boat.

Don't buy this please!

by Andy, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 5, 2020
Save your money and don't buy this. The unit was very easy to set up but in between the motions it jammed and upon further inspection the internal mechanism lever that attached to the top peice was broken. I was loading 9mm glock mags which is what this was advertised for!

I assumed the plastic pieces aren't meant to hold up against the higher amount of pressure to load a pistol mag, I believe metal internals and levers would increase resilience and durability.

I tried claiming manufacture's warranty to no avail. No response in 3 weeks. Love the maglula but hate the mag pump series.
Pros:
  • great idea
Cons:
  • poor execution
Best Used for:
  • wasting money

Okay if you load very slow, but is finicky

by TimJ, from PA, United States Written on December 21, 2019
Their .223 model works very well, the 9mm is way more picky. It works okay, but is very touchy about how you run it. Once you get a rhythm down and understand the issues it's not bad, but you definitely don't want to just let your buddy hop on and run it. It's very important you go slower than you can, in that it's important the make sure the lever travels fully up and down with a little pause at each spot, try to go too fast and things go wrong very quickly. The lever placement/size is not great, esp. if you have it on a bench because then ensuring the lever goes fully downward usually results in your hand hitting the table or loader. The big issue I have is the hopper does not feed constantly, rounds get jammed up in the top of the hopper and do not keep the mechanism fed. As a result it's very easy to run out of rounds in the mechanism. If you like to load your mags to a certain round count it's very annoying. I usually load 10 rounds in my mags for the range and I typically get anywhere from 7-10 due to the above issue. As a result you end up constantly nudging rounds around in the hopper so they feed in to try and ensure each lever pull actually has a round to load. It's still faster than a maglula loader, but not much, esp. if you are doing different mags and have to swap out mag inserts. Which are just 3D printed plastic, there's no way they should be $20 a pop. I will say it's impressive how well it works with a insert with the mags I've tried. It's great for loading ...

Three strikes and jam

by Bill, from NE, United States Written on February 9, 2019
I can not recommend this unit for Springfield 16 round mags, it loads about 3 rounds then jams and the last time it broke something internally and now does not work at all. I tried to contact the manufacturer for warranty and so far after a week I've gotten no response.
I own 1 of these for AR15 and I am very happy with it. Have to wander if they may have rushed to this to the market to soon.
