Most Helpful Negative Review Makes rifle Jam
I bought this item from midwayusa.com and installed it on my rifle. it looked and felt great. after firing 10 rounds I had my first Jam from my AK. thinking it could of been issues with the ammo, magazine, the moon, etc. I cleared it and used a new magazine, after 15 rounds I had another jam. looking very closely while shooting. the spent case was hitting the top of the rail and causing it to come back in the ejection port making the rifle jam up. I was not pleased by the performance of this product. with cool looks being its only pro, don't buy this over priced rail.

arrived with minor scratches and did not fit my AK 47

Arrived with small scratches. It did not fit my Hungarian AK47. The metal seems soft and does not seem battle ready. I would advise trying the Combat Arms rail system. It costs more but is modular. This rail was tight at the corner of the gas block and would not allow the upper half of the rail to seat with the boom. It looked nice but I couldn't secure the hex screws. Either the rail or the rifle needed to have some filing to make it work. I was not going to do either and should not have to considering the price of this rail.

Modern rail for your AK

I have it installed on my AMD-65 and it looks great. Added a light, sight and laser on the rails. Really pleased with how it turned out.
Pros: Easy to install, snug fit, high quality
Cons: Must be removed to clean the weapon

Even though its a little pricey and heavy its well worth the investment
Pros: I love the rail system and durability also I like how easy it was to install
Cons: it adds a lot of weight to the weapon
