Great magnifier - mediocre mount - Global Military Gear 3x Reflex Sight Magnifier

I was worried about this magnifier because of the price relative to an EOtech or Aimpoint model. Let me assure you, the magnifier is more than adequate behind my EOtech EXPS 2.2 on a 5.56 AR. My only dissapointment is the mount which I knew I wanted to replace anyway because I want flip-to-side functionality. I wish Mako offered a decent FTS mount. Beware that any FTS mount you use must have a two-piece ring since both ends of the magnifier are larger than 30mm. I wanted the Larue FTS mount, but it uses a one-piece ring and is incompatible with this magnifier. Overall - this is a great magnifier and represents very good value for the money. I've found it to be tough, clear, and well built. I'll buy another one for my Ruger 10/22 just for fun!
