Laser Site Mount
The Mantis X Barrel Mount enabled a laser site to be mounted on my Ruger 22 bull nose pistol....looks good!! Haven't tried it yet to see if the laser can be adjusted enough to line up with open sights and allow for projectile drop.

Disappointing product!
While it looks like it is made of metal it is actually a plastic. The two half piece design prevents the mount from clamping down on the barrel with any force and you must take up the slack with the provided spacers. This might work adequately on a larger gauge gun, but on my 20 gauge Remington 870 there was too much space to achieve a solid grip. Consequently, by the third shot, the flexible plastic combined with the large gap to allow the mount to flip off and sent it and the attached flashlight crashing to the ground. Changed to a Beamshot RF mount that is metal and has a hinge design that actually clamps onto the barrel and does not need the thick spacer pads to get a good grip. Have not tried shooting with it yet, but it feels more solid from the outset.

Best Used for:
- Maybe a larger 12 gauge barrrel diameter
