Best Coach Around
Between trying to be a better shooter myself and always happy to coach others, I have acquired a few training tools.
This is hands down the best, even more so considering the cost.
I have used it to improve my support hand control and a friend used it to prepare for his police marksmanship test.
Attaches to the rail, links to your phone, and can be used for dry fire or live fire. Not many other tools can do both.
I have mostly used it on handguns but you can use it on rifles and software updates should support those other platforms from what I have heard.
If your handgun doesn't have a rail, there are rail adapters that hook up to the magazine. Great thing about that is you can still use your regular holster.

I dry fired about 100 times and enjoyed the information it gave me. I shot one inch groups live at 5-7 yards (100 rounds)and MantisX tells me I'm only shooting at 65%. Gimmick. Waste of time and money
Hardware quality is junk as well as the shot analysis capability. Does not work on dry fire. Seem to have to place your phone down range for it to register. Does not give accurate results and is based on assumptions made from the laser movement during your shot. The ONLY time this might be useful is if you are a new gun owner and have never shot before.

perfect dry fire training
This item is perfect for the daily dry firing training. The device is able to detect all the moment that’s happening as you pull the trigger. It even gives you tips on what might be the problem if you’re having excessive muzzle moments during your trigger pull. My only complaint is that the device picks up a trigger pull when I’m just racking my slide to reset trigger, which then you have to go back and delete the data or it will mess up you progress averages. Other than that this thing is an awesome trading aid, especially for new shooters

Shooting Performance
It works very well. Any movement when pulling trigger is recorded, movement of the gun is registered as well as movement after the shot. There are different exercises and drills both timed and not. The model I have is for dry fire only, so far no problems and would recommend buying it.

Mantis x2 is great for the gun enthusiast
Easy set up. A lot of neat options to help improve your aim. It was my husbands favorite Christmas gift. Can be used with laser bullet or traditional bullets. App is easy to use and understand. Works great with our laserlyte bullet and target.

My new favorite toy
Received the MantisX in the mail yesterday and I’ve already been practicing with it for the past. I have to say, I’ve found my new favorite toy to play with. I particularly love the holster draw analysis. It breaks down every stage of the draw process so you know exactly what part to focus on. The spider graphs show you exactly what you’re doing wrong. I can’t wait to take it to the range later on today.

broke within a week
The genius behind this training tool is amazing. It really helped me understand my trigger pull when I did have the chance to use it. Sadly the item broke and wouldn’t work after a week of little use.

takes my shooting tobyhe next level
This is simply a fine product, well designed, and very applicable to developing and improving multiple different aspects of my shooting skills. Installation and app interface our user friendly, but did require spending a little time to explore the myriad of different tools that are available within the app.
This is clearly a tool that is designed for frequent and repeated use over a period of time, and quite possibly throughout your shooting career. I have only been using for a relatively short while, but have seen improvements in my shooting technique and can see more ways that I can use the product in the future.

MantisX First Impressions
Out of the box easy to set up and start training. Ran into issues with miss fires and contacted Mantis. Their Customer Support is excellent and responded to my email within ahalf a day. They had me update the app which improved the performance of the unit immediately. Note that running multiple apps concurrently during training interferes with the unit. Overall I'm very happy with the device and recommend it as a training aid.

Helpful training device
Bought this to help make dry fire more productive. It has succeeded in doing that. It prevents you from getting sloppy and developing bad habits which can easily happen. Helped my wife work out some issues she had with inconsistent trigger pulls. Overall a good purchase.

Shooter's device can help you improve
Without a doubt all the input you can get whether it be from a partner or a device is valuable in making you a better shooter. This device is without doubt a big plus for every shooter. Especially one who needs input from an "disinterested observer."
