I bought the Mantis X3 for fun. It's actually a fun little tool to improve my shooting. It's really working. It pays for itself in money that you saved on ammunition on those snow days when you don't want to go out in the cold. You can also use it with live rounds at the range. Well worth the money.

Before using mantis x system I would go to the range and practice-I’m a fairly accurate shooter but always have some go right, low, high-not quite knowing what I did to get these rounds off wrong. Mantis X changed that, I know exactly what I did-and not only that but realized some of the basic concepts about how to push/pull, too much trigger/too little trigger/healing/shouldering- that had never been explained to me accurately, was now easily viewed. I wish I had started shooting with mantis X when I first picked up a gun as now I am correcting all the misinformation. If you are a women especially I strongly encourage you to spend the money on this wonderful device so that you don’t rely on mansplaining-they have great intentions but the translation on the concepts are not precise enough to encompass the precision of the techniques that are not complicated whenever Mantis X shows what is actually transpiring. Mantis X shows how It’s not all about holding on tight and “ muscling” the gun to shoot it, rather a combination of physics at work!

This product is so sensitive that let you know your trigger pull, recoil participation, holding firearm too firmly.Also your shots group exactly which directions are. Mantis shows how fast, how precise you could pull your firearm from holster without spending any ammo. You stay home without driving to rang. It tells you the everyday, week, and months progress in the app. It has option for guests too. First start slowly after a day get faster. I promise you will enjoy it.

Love my Mantis X3! Already saving a lot on ammo and having a lot more fun at home doing dry fire practice. Improvement as promised from just a few goes at it. I can hardly wait to take it to the range and try it out with some live ammo. Price was great from Opticsplanet!

I just bought this item for my wife for Christmas, but I must confess that I can't keep my hands off of it. I have always been a pretty good shot, but this item has fine tuned my skills and within less than a week I am consistently hitting in the mid-90's on the scoring which is improving my sight & finger control. I haven't utilized all of the functions as of yet or live fired with it, but I'm looking forward to that as well. Great product and keeps your interest up on training.

I have this on a Sig P320 with a Dry Fire Mag. It may or may not work out of the box with a Dry Fire Mag, if it doesn't work run the shot troubleshooter and Mantis will get back to you in a few days with a custom profile. This kind of support makes this worth every penny. This is going to make dry fire drills so much better.

Bought X3 model stopped working in 48hrs emailed Mantis support after 2nd attempt to reset the unit they sent me a replacement, they were at off components so the upgraded me to they X10 model at no cost. +$100 upgrade. Mailed theirs 1st with a return label and box for the old one. The replacement works great. It teaches you to correct your shooting problems. Helping improve accuracy.The 5 star rating was mostly for great customer serv. But the unit too. If you want to use the drawl feature opt for the magazine attachment. Normal operation it attaches to light rail and pistol will not fit into your holster. Mounted on bottom of mag it will.

Love the live feedback and recommendations for corrections. Challenges are fun. Good alternative if you can’t get out to the range. If using it with my dryfire mag, make sure you enter the correct setting. I got good responses from the manufacturer for support as well to get that resolved.

Right out of the box, I can see this little motion sensor & app combo is really going to benefit my shooting skills. The device installed easily on my Sig P320. The app is easy to use, and gets you going with learn-as-you-go tutorials. The one thing I’ve noticed is it very occasionally misses picking up a trigger pull (or more aptly, a firing pin release) during dry firing. Still, it’s pretty amazing how it identifies all the little mistakes I’m making when I shoot. I’d say it’s definitely worth the money.
