Chris's Review of Mantis X 2 Shooting Performance System
So, it works as advertised. However, I’m not sure I believe how accurate the calibration is. I’m hitting bullseyes, but the Mantis says I’m all over the place. I haven’t figured out how to program it for distance yet.
Also, even though it’s advertised to fit 1913 rails, it’s still a pain to get it on and off whatever firearm you want to put it on.
Also, it will not go on to my SAS, but that’s on me for not thinking things through. Works on the 226 just fine, which is good enough.
The drills are a blast, though. A lot more than I expected. The shot timer and reload drills get the most use from me so far.
Bottom line: it works and it’s a good bargain.
