I'm happy to say that the Steel Navigator keeps it's proportions a little slimmer than the other modern watches and reissues that share it's basic design language (Benrus, MKII, Tornek-Rayville). It's significantly slimmer at just 11mm, and wears absolutely wonderful because of it. There's no wobble that taller watches tend to have on wrist, and that makes it feel lighter than it is. Some may feel it wears small, but unless you're a gorilla with a 9" wrist it'll wear great (7.5" wrist here for reference).
The finishing is perfect, with an orange peel like bead blasted case, matte bezel insert, clear and crisp dial markers and printing, and tritium tubes to top it off. The tritium isn't nearly as bright as traditional lume, but it's always there so it won't fade out after a few hours like lume does. To top it off, the crown screws down super smoothly, and the battery hatch is easy to operate.
This does have a ghost date position, however it does not bother me in the slightest since this is a no date watch, and with an accuracy of 10 seconds a year I doubt I'll need to be setting it very often. Speaking of the movement, the second hand hits the markers pretty much dead on.
All in all this is a fantastic watch, and I can't recommend it enough. The only thing I would say is be ready to change the strap out to something more comfortable. I used a Crown & Buckle Matte Supreme and it feels like it was made for this watch.

Amazing Watch
Marathon has been building well built tool watches for quite some time and this is no exception. I'm seriously impressed by the build quality and finishing. This could easily be the only watch you own and serve you for many many years
