I picked up one of these with the 9mm silent captured spring. Between the buffer and removing the weight plug of the dense 9mm buffer, recoil is much better. Prior to that, I was somewhat annoyed with the amount of recoil on my 9mm AR15. Those often have much more recoil than the .223 systems.

I enjoy how these are very compact when fully collapsed.

These are a tad expensive, although I consider the benefits worth it. Since the buffer tube is shorter, you lose compatibility with standard springs and buffers. The silent captured spring adds some weight. I'd rather have the weight than the recoil.
