Very Nice, but SB Tactical is better
First off, I have both. MAXIM PROS: Shorter. Comes with JP already. CONS: not as many buffer options (like H2). Might cause issues if you’re shooting suppressed from short barrel (the backpressure sheared mine completely. JP replaced it, but be aware of it). Now they changed the rod to give it a lit...

Great F&F, but NOT WORKING
I bought the Maxim PDW brace to install in a (fully functional) Aero Precision 300 Blackout with 8.5 inch barrel. I installed the Brace, with standard buffer/spring combo, and went to town, only it never left the driveway... After replacing my barrel, replacing my BCG, expanding the gas port and ins...

shorter is better.
I bought this setup with the JE silent capture spring. I also have JE adjustable weight bolt. (vmos) I run this with the lightest weight possible on the spring and bolt. I have a superlative adjustable gas block. I have this tuned to use the leat amount of reciprocating mass and low pressure. Smoothest and shortest AR I own. I run it with a can and without a can, I do not have to adjust anything in between the 2.

Maxim Defense CQB PDW Brace
Excellent product. Made to last. I can’t say enough about this brace. The fit and finish is great and it is designed to fit perfectly. The padding on the brace is soft but rugged. When you cheek the brace it is comfortable.

My new favorite pistol brace
I’ve had this brace for some time now. I’ve laid had many other braces and this one is definitely my favorite. Had a right and crisp lock up at staying open or closed. Very good ergonomics and when collapsed it is very mobile.
It’s also built like a tank. Very solid brace. Highly recommend.

Maxim AR-15 Pistol Brace
I am completely satisfied with the Maxim AR-15 pistol brace. It is an exceptional design and very sturdy. The install was simple and takes only a few minutes. The QD mounts at the 11 and 1 o'clock positions work great with my Magpul sling. Great job Maxim Defense!
Pros:
- great design
Cons:
- Expensive

Excellent and high quality
This brace is excellent and is clearly high quality. It also folds down for smallest storage, with the rails fitting perfectly down the upper and lower frame. I also ordered the one with the silent captured spring, which will be the first I have ever had. The quality is excellent, and while I do not have a can, I hope to eventually and it will make a big difference. Only brace I ever want to use for future ar pistols!

Great Looking CQB Brace
After searching for quite some time for the best brace for my new 300BLK build I finally decided to take the hit on this one. The brace looks good and has a very solid feel to it. After using it several times I'm now able to deploy it without depressing the latch, couldn't do so when it was new which is understandable due to the strong build and tolerances used.
I think this is the best brace on the market at this moment. with that being said there are some things that I believe should be addressed. The false castle nut on the buffer tube has small ridges on it for grip when tightening it I presume. These ridges protrude slightly past the lower allowing the charging handle to hit it. This doesn't seem to hinder the functionality but after a couple uses it does strip the black off of the buffer and leaves bare aluminum. The second issue I have is the finish on the inside of the buffer tube. Which is the biggest issue. The tube is left with micro ridges from front to back. I made the mistake of buying this brace with the standard style buffer and spring which rubs the ridges all the way down and forward when charging or firing the weapon. It makes a pretty loud and annoying sound (cant imagine what it sound like suppressed)I have some way cheaper buffer tubes that are smooth with virtually no sound. I had to break down an buy the JP captured spring and buffer to fix this issue. Which would have been done to begin with if I would have known. Shouldn't be issues at this price.

Well made and sleek looking
Best looking brace currently made, in my opinion. practically zero wobble, smooth operation, and comfortable to use. The rubber "brace" part is soft feeling yet firm (not squishy). Not knocking a star for this, but, the part that's designed to wrap around your arm is very small and unless you have child-sized arms the strap isn't long enough go around the arm in order to use "as designed"
Works great on my 10.5 300blk build. Cannot really comment on recoil difference as I've only ever fired the gun with this installed but the recoil is very manageable.

Great Product
I bought this for a mk 18 build. I love it. Looks great and makes the whole rifle very compact. It was exactly as I expected it to be. Optics plant gave me a great price a very fast delivery. I recommend them and the product.

Awesome brace!
Outstanding quality and value, even if it's pricey compared to other braces. This brace is on a different level. Locks up tight in any position, collapses easily and to a very short length, but opens up quickly. The JP silent captured spring is smooth and quiet, too, and a nice addition over the usual buffer and spring setup.
