Great collapsing brace for your pistol
This brace is what I wanted for my Saint 7.5 inch pistol. Looks good and works well. When I got the brace and installed it, I couldn't get the bolt to cycle. Contacted Maxim and they knew what the issue was...they had some buffer springs that were out of spec. They sent a new one immediately, which solved the issue completely. Very prompt and courteous service. As for Optics Planet, they had, by far, the cheapest price on this that I've seen, and the item shipped and arrived in a timely manner. I just wish this item wasn't so expensive. The exclusivity of this brace in the marketplace a...

Wrong buffer
I just received my pistol brace for my A.R. 15 556 with a 7.5 barrel. I love it it’s great. However I would think they would send it with the right buffer spring. I need a H3 buffer spring and most people that order a pistol brace are getting this for a 7.5 barrel or an 8 inch barrel so why were they not include the right spring? They send it with a 3.3oz spring which is used in a 16 inch barre. I think it’s to make people spend more money to get the right spring. They should include the correct spring weight. If somebody orders a pistol brace they should have the option to select the right spring weight not spend an extra $80. Why would a pistol brace come with a 3.3oz spring when it’s usually going on a shorter barrel. The 3.3 makes no sense. I wish that it came with the correct buffer weight and spring. Otherwise great service. Great tech support. But not so good in the right pieces to the puzzle.
Pros:
- Quality
- qualities, quality and price
Cons:
- Price not really but correct pieces used.
Best Used for:
- Someone with more then general knowledge.

Best brace on the market!
This maxim defense is pdw brace is awesome. I was considering this or the sbpdw brace and ended up picking this one due to the fact that it collapsed smaller than the sbpdw brace. The qd slot is nice to have and the adjustable positions are great and sturdy.
Pros:
- Size, quality, qd slot, adjustable positions
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- Pistol Builds

Great PDW for the money!!!
This brace is everything you can ask for in a pistol configuration. Very sturdy and very easy to assemble. I got the FDE brace, it has a bit of a two tone color, but I think it’s perfect because it matches up well with either the magpul FDE or the BCM FDE.
Pros:
- sturdy, well built
Cons:
- price (but worth it)
Best Used for:
- self defense, home defense, recreational fun, backpack concealability

Bolt carrier?
If I order this brace do I need to change out the bolt carrier group for my 7.5 inch barrel saint victor pistol? I have the SB tactical brace and like it but need a couple extra inches off for backpack carrying. Any answers would help me out a lot.
