Unless there were some bad builds, someone tried to install this on the wrong firearm, or there was a serious lack of mechanical aptitude, I honestly don't understand the statement about mallets needed. Installed in minutes, INCREDIBLY solid, feels so professional. Feels like military grade gear. Locks up solid in every position. I couldn't be more pleased with this. It is a shame that these are on clearance and maybe no longer being offered. I may just buy a second one. BadA$$ gear

To me the fitment is right on dispite what others have said. You have to wiggle the brace past the first grooves and I was able to push it down almost half way with my hands. It is a really snug fit which is good to me. Then I used a hard plastic flooring block used for laying laminate floors with a rubber mallet to tap rest of the way. Make sure you line up the hole perfect or screw won't go in to secure. Looks are awesome. I have a sb tactical brace but like Maxim much better. Better butt pad contact area. Better deployment mechanism. I'm very happy with my purchase. Get these while you can. Lol
Pros:
- Snug fit , looks awesome, functions great

Best you can buy for your MPXK, but you will have to secure your gun into a vise first. You will need a hammer and a plastic block to pound it in place. It’s a very , very tight fit, you will actually have to hammer this in, and you must use rags and something soft like plastic block for you will scratch and but dents in your stock. Maxim for some reason didn’t get the exact specs from the rear end of the MPXK 1913 rail. I’m assuming they just took a guess, or just assumed a regular size Magpul 1913 piece. That’s the only reason it gets a star missing instead of 5. Some reviews said it won’t fit, well that’s just not true, they didn’t have the right tools to put it on, or just didn’t want to hammer it on, which I understand if they were scared to tear up something.

I was not able to install mine, the fit was so tight even hammering it would not move it past halfway on the rail until it was stuck. Attempting to install it from the top part of the rail was impossible. The design to slide it on to the rail was a poor one

This brace is super solid and once you get it mounted it’s the sturdiest brace out there. You will have to hammer the snott out of it to get it to fit the rail (tight like tiger) but you will be please when mounted. It has more features than any other brace including quick deploy where you can rip the brace into position like a navy seal. It also is super solid with zero movement from side to side or up and down when deployed. The rubber on the brace is super thick and has a nice pad to butt up against. I also like that it has a QD mount on it and a storage container.
Pros:
- Storage
- solid
- Easy use
- clean
Cons:
- extends lengths, hammer install required
