Compact, fast to deploy, smooth operation - Maxim Defense Industries SCW Brace

Installed this Maxim Defense SCW Brace quickly and easily on an 11.5" AR Pistol. This pistol was originally fitted with a full length pistol receiver extension, Law Tactical Folder, carbine buffer, carbine spring, full auto BCG, and an SLR Rifle Works adjustable gas block. Setup was tuned with the gas block to eject to the 4 o'clock position and about a thousand rounds of trouble free use. After installing the SCW brace with the carbine weight buffer I expected to have to adjust the gas. Nope, it ran flawlessly with no adjustments. Shoots smoother and flatter than before, likely due to less reciprocating mass. Brace is comfortable to use and fast to deploy. Sling swivel is conveniently located under the buffer tube near the actuation levers. On most AR-15 type rifles the sound and feel of the action on the last round in the magazine is very different than the previous rounds. Gives a tactile and audible indication the gun is empty. With the SCW the last round sounds and feels nearly identical to the previous rounds. You get used to it pretty quickly. Just something to be aware of. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
