Solid, well built, easy to install and easy to use. All the qualities you want in a brace. Running with a 7.5” barrel makes for a compact package that complements each other. Great instructions included.

I've been amazed at how well this little brace can hold up. I honestly bought it just for the looks but after taking a few classes with it and using it on a fo-honey badger (no, we have a honey badger at home) it has held up to over thousands of rounds. I have 5k rounds through this system and I honestly don't have anything bad to say. I think it would be nice to have a QD point further back for a sling attachment but that's about it. The brace makes your AR super short when collapsed all the way and very simple and easy to extended with one hands after some practice.

Installed this Maxim Defense SCW Brace quickly and easily on an 11.5" AR Pistol. This pistol was originally fitted with a full length pistol receiver extension, Law Tactical Folder, carbine buffer, carbine spring, full auto BCG, and an SLR Rifle Works adjustable gas block. Setup was tuned with the gas block to eject to the 4 o'clock position and about a thousand rounds of trouble free use. After installing the SCW brace with the carbine weight buffer I expected to have to adjust the gas. Nope, it ran flawlessly with no adjustments. Shoots smoother and flatter than before, likely due to less reciprocating mass. Brace is comfortable to use and fast to deploy. Sling swivel is conveniently located under the buffer tube near the actuation levers. On most AR-15 type rifles the sound and feel of the action on the last round in the magazine is very different than the previous rounds. Gives a tactile and audible indication the gun is empty. With the SCW the last round sounds and feels nearly identical to the previous rounds. You get used to it pretty quickly. Just something to be aware of. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

This system is great. Really makes the package than the SB PDW brace. It is a bit on the pricy side, but quality is top notch! The pull to deploy feature is easier to use, I’d guess from better machining, and makes extension of the brace a snap. Install is a breeze also. My only complaint is the system requires buffer retainer pin removal and both takedown pins removed to remove the upper. Very minor complaint and takes nothing away from the package!

This brace is perfect for shortening overall length but still being able to fire also looks and feels great optics planet had these on backorder but was shipped out to me within a couple weeks while no other company could get them
