I got tired buying new holsters for new phones.
I love the idea of adjustable holster so when I get a new phone I just adjust the holster.
It is a bit bulky comparing to phone holsters.
I bought radio holster instead of the phone holster because phone holsters are not as flexible. What I mean is the dimensions

Maxpedition CP-L Radio Holder

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 28, 2012
I bought this product to hold a large smartphone that itself is encased in an oversized case made by Ballistic. The phone fits fine due to the adjustability of the holder. It is also held securely. The only negatives are the holder's bulk and the somewhat odd two-strap molle system on the rear. It uses velcro on the bottom instead of snaps or clips. The two straps also double as a belt attachment. The velcro attachments have not come loose, but at the same time would not hold up to any significant force. Thus, attaching the holder to a molle vest, pack, or anything similar may not be the best idea.
Pros: Secure fit, highly adjustable, durable
Cons: Bulky for some applications, molle straps use velcro at bottom

Cell Phone Holder

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 20, 2012
I was looking for a holder for my cell phone, an HTC Rezound in an Otter Box, and couldn't find anything duty gear friendly. The Otter Box clip is nice, but it's not long enough to attach securely to my duty belt. This "radio" is great. If you have a small cell phone this probably won't work, but for larger smart phones, especially in some kind of case, this is perfect.
Pros: Very adjustable
Cons: None

I bought this Maxpedition radio holder to attach to our winch rescue harness so I could have better access to the portable radio controls during winching operations. This holder fits perfectly to the harness and with the flexible adjustment system it also fits our portable radio's well. A great easy to use holder that does the job intended.
Pros: Easy to set up and attach giving good access to radio controls
Cons: None
