Very well made, well thought-out bag. Lots of options so I can use it in many different ways as my situation changes. Lots of smaller pockets, nooks and crannies as well as large central pocket with a drain hole. Great concealed carry pocket with velcro on the side and closed with a zipper. This was not my first Maxpedition product, so I knew what to expect.

Being used as daily duty bag. All items fit well and secure. Pistol and rifle mags fit nice in outer pouch, easy to get at if quickly needed. Inner storage plenty of space and easy to remove items from. Overall worth the money, good quality. Can see using for many years and would buy another to replace the one I have. Thumbs up!

The bag was redesigned, removing a belt loop and replacing it with built-in waist belt, which I cut off on delivery and heat sealed the nylon ends to prevent fraying.
In actual use, this bag wouldn't be attached around the waist anyway. It's easier to access in an emergency by bringing the shoulder strap over the head (so the strap crosses the chest) and rotating the pack to the lower chest/belly.
The bag itself is very light weight for its size, but constructed of heavy duty nylon. This is especially important when you start packing lots of ammunition.
As a law enforcement tactical and active shooter instructor, it's my favorite bail-out style bag I've tried and is my personal choice for the bag I carry every work day.
Pros: Room for 4+ pistol mags, 2+ 30 rd. rifle mags, blow-out kit, tac light, knife and plenty more
Cons: Waist strap not particularly useful - should be easier to conceal or remove
