Most Helpful Positive Review Handy small bag
I bought the Remora as a diaper bag I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear and also hold some of my own stuff including an occasional CCW. It holds a few diapers, wipes, juice bottle, and snacks, plus my little flashlight, ID, and pocket knife. I really like the way it can be carried slung sideways on the back. Very comfortable and easy to swing it in front to access your gear without removing it. Great build quality. Overall I'm happy with the Remora and have used it many times in the past few months. The only improvement I would make would be to make the rear CCW panel a bit taller. I supp...

Good product

by Alfred, from MS, United States Written on February 23, 2022
So far I like it. I guess I have too many things to put in it and it is a little tied. I like the material it is very strong. There are enough pockets to be used. I would have liked it black better. Not a bad product.
Pros:
  • good strong material
Cons:
  • not a lot of color options

Maxpedition Remora Gearslinger Bag 0419

by M., from OH, United States Written on January 1, 2015
I always buy Maxpedition stuff and this one is like the others-tough, up to my specs and purpose, and versatile. Will be using this one for around town when I have to bring stuff with me but no need to bring a big bag. This is smaller than the other sling bags so check the specs before buying. However, I'm able to put in it the following items: 8.4" tablet, sunglasses, checkbook with credit cards, small flashlight, pen, knife, pad of paper, keys, small bottle of water, and other small stuff like a chapstick. Anyway, this is a good item to have when going around town or travelling.
Pros:
  • convenient size
  • tough material
  • Quality, versatility, modifiable, adjustable, heavy load bearing capacity
Cons:
  • None

Not a Man Purse - Perfect Mnimialist EDC

by Sublime, from TX, United States Written on October 7, 2014
This bag is compact and just right to carry essentials every day carry (EDC) items. Although it is about same size as a lunch bag, there are a number of compartments to store and organize your belongings. The shoulder strap is designed to be worn like a messenger bag across your back/chest (lower strap connection point can be connected to left or right side of bag). I am fairly broad and I have no problem carrying it on same shoulder...and it doesn't look like a man purse. There are two compartments that can be used to conceal carry (external pouch on backside of pack or within the main rear compartment of the bag. Perhaps due to its size the bag doesn't look overtly "tactical" and hasn't raised any eyebrows anywhere I have taken it. No Regrets.

Maxpedition Remora

by Ken, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on July 28, 2012
The bag is pretty small, but that's what I was looking for. Something to throw a few items in when heading out the door. The shoulder strap is not comfortable to me for a long period of time. I like that you can switch the strap to either shoulder. Well built, seems tough. It's a bit pricey for a small bag.
Pros: Well built
Cons: shoulder strap is not very comfortable

Maxpedition Remora Gearslinger Bag

This not not a Gearslinger but a gun slinger.
Pros: This is what I want... I bought a maxpedition pennypack first but not good enough
Cons: The belt is a little short. Need to add about three more inches.

Great Bag!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on April 8, 2010
This is a great bag if you're looking to carry several small items. I recently took it fly fishing and was able to fit wallets, cell phone, luch snacks and an extra reel with plenty of room to spare. It could also fit a paperback book if you desired.
Pros: lots of pockets
Cons: not too big
