Stock is awesome!

This stock is exactly what I was looking for in a stock for my .308 build. Comfortable and versatile with McMillan’s classic A-5 design. As mentioned in a previous review the action screws are too long and you will need a set that are a few mm’s shorter for the bolt to be able to function and for the action/barrel to seat properly. Pretty inconvenient, but it happens. Just wish there was a notice or recommended length to order/supplied with the stock prior to playing the guessing game or breaking out calipers to measure for the proper length needed. Only reason for the 4 stars, form, fit, and function of the stock are a 5 star for me all day!

Great stock, but..

Got mine and planned on putting my Remington 700 sps tactical in it but once I put the action screws in hand tight my bolt wouldn’t close. Mc3’s website doesn’t say anything about needing different action screws so I wasn’t expecting to run into this problem. You’d think if you needed different screws they would send them in the box. I’d give it 5 stars but having to modify/buy new action screws is pretty annoying.
