I didn't get the free round trip to sunny Southeast Asia so I never was issued these boots.
I have semi-rural acreage in South Texas and it has been very humid with daily heat indices well over 100 degrees.
I specifically bought these boots for the Panama outsole. Other than flat outsoles, all other types of footgear, hiking shoes etc., I've tried track a lot of debris into the house and mud is nearly impossible to remove from those types of outsoles. This outsole eliminates that.

Because it is so hot and damp I have been wearing them with only polypropylene liner socks. I blouse my pants over to keep out bugs and chainsaw chips.
There is almost no break it. I gradually tightened the laces daily for the first week.
The water pumping inner sole and ventilation make it a very comfortable, cool boot. I was surprised how well it works.

Sizing was confusing with the note of dropping one full size compared to normal wear. I wear 11-1/2, 12 and ordered size 11. The toe box is much bigger than normal. I rationalize that soldiers do a lot more than walk around. Low crawling, pushups, and airborne shuffle come to mind.

Great boot, stay dry, ankle protection, lacing to fit and outsoles that work in outdoor environments sums it up.
