This is a really nice bipod. Legs are nice and tight.
Just wish it was quick detachable.

I have shot the PRS on and off over the last several years, and I have used bipods from Atlas and Accu-Tac. I bought this bipod to go on a precision 556 gas gun I built, and it suits that role perfectly. It is very light weight, the adjustment range of the legs is ample and the adjustments are easy to make on the fly, even from the prone position. There is virtually no play in the legs, and it is very solid and doesn't wobble/wiggle in any way. I don't think I would choose to use it on a 20lb+ bolt gun, but on a gas gun, it is perfect. I only have 2 quibble with it. The screw adapter that attaches it to the rail is kind of cheap and made of plastic, and I could see that getting damaged with hard use, but it is easily replaceable. And the tension knob that allows you to control the tension of the cant is very touchy. The difference between full lockout and easy to cant is very small. I like a lot of tension but not locked out, and it was difficult to get it set right where I wanted it. But, it's cheaper than an Atlas and Accu-Tac, and it isn't as bulky as an Accu-Tac, so for the purpose I bought it for, it is more than adequate.
Pros:
- Light weight, easy adjustments, very stable
Cons:
- Cant Tensioner and maybe durability
Best Used for:
- Any precision rifle if you don't want to spend more than necessary

Strong and sturdy, definitely not the lightest. Overall will get the job done for a mid priced hunting bipod

There are Bipods out there that cost more than rifles but MDT hit a home run with this budget-friendly bipod option. I am just getting into short-action rifles and was looking for a STURDY bipod for a couple of my builds and I think the GRND-Pod is by far the best option out there for guys like me who want a rigid, reliable bipod that does NOT flex (even when fully extended) when loaded and is easy to deploy/adjust. I especially love the quick height adjustments and the ability to stow the legs at 0° or 180° which is just fantastic for rifle cases. I upgraded to this from a Harris sling-swivel style bipod and this experience was a game changer in both versatility, setup/deployment and shedding weight. I was so impressed that I ended up buying two of these GRND-Pods, one in ARCA and the other in Pic-1913.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Versatile
- Rigid and adjustable

Received it on time without any issues. The MDT GRND-POD is incredibly well-built, with rock-solid stability and smooth leg deployment. The ARCA mount locks up tight with zero play, and the cant tension adjustment is excellent for fine-tuning on uneven surfaces.
