Went on easy if you have basic understanding of anything basic. Basically you revert to some basic tools like a punch which is basically a metal stick and a tap tap device of sorts commonly known as a hammer (but not limited to) which is essentially a piece of metal attached to a stick but that’s not to say anything you have within reach to bang on your metal stick with won’t do the job.. because it probably will. Don't be discouraged removing original bottom metal.
Just alternate hitting each side with a rubber mallet until it
loosens.
