Green Laser Pointer 91100
Works great! Fun toy and very useful for finding stars. It helps when one person is trying to point out a star to another person or groups of people. One can also use it to help find stars with a telescope.
Didn't think they could wear out
We bought one of these about three years ago and it was splendid when new. We didn't have occasion to use it for a while, and when we did want to use it again we put in new batteries on principle. Didn't work. No apparent corrosion, no apparent battery leak. Just didn't work.
My wife called Meade. They said, "If it doesn't work with new batteries, throw it out." So much for Meade. At $60, we didn't expect this to be a throw-away toy--but it was.
This review, of course, has nothing to with Optics Planet, who have always given us five-star service and products.

N ight time beam
I ordered and received the laser from Meade, and I must say, it's a very nice package. However, It's a bit of false advertising saying, it's great for pointing out stars in the sky. The green beam can't be seen during day or night, maybe on a cloudy night but then the stars can't be seen. In anycase it is a genuine piece of work, very well made, worth every penny.
Just don't expect to point out stars on a clear night.
