Most Helpful Negative Review Meade power adapter
Just received this item and I must say opticsplanet got it here quickly and packaged very well. However when I opened the item I noticed the only thing Meade about this item is the sticker on the brown box. Totally different name on the product itself. Little disappointing. Not opticsplanet's fault more a Meade issue

AC wall adapter

I use my telescope outdoors. I also use it a good distance from the grid, on camping or road trips. Needless to say, I was disappointed to see that the adapter is for indoor use only. Point is, I doubt it will hold up in the great outdoors for as long as I would like. Really would like to see a better, more rugged version that has some protection from moisture, dust, and the elements in general.
Otherwise, this is a basic indoor adapter from 120V AC to 12V, 5 A DC. So if you can find a cheaper but reliable one elsewhere, might not be a bad idea.
No problems with this one so far.

Works as expected but it is just a power adaptor
Pros: gives you power without using batteries
Cons: it is expensive for a power adaptor
