Most Helpful Positive Review Solid reliability
I ordered these the same week I ordered my Les Baer. I finally ran then yesterday and they functioned perfectly. When I finally picked up my les Baer the sales person at the counter told me how great Wilson combat mags are and I don’t doubt that but those are about double the price. I really only need these for the range because 3 8rd mags would take forever to break this 1911 in. If I could carry this I would absolutely say I could rely on them at this point (350 rounds at this time). I absolutely recommend these.

Works! Every round every time.

The mags that came with my springfield mil-spec 1911 including extras i ordered from them would not function on the last round. All of them. ordered these, excellent. So, throw your springfield’s away and order these.

Mec Gar 1911 10 MM 8 Round

I bought 2 blued ones and 2 nickel. Both look very well constructed. They appear to cycle fine with ball ammo. They are priced very well for the quality of the product. I would recommend them to anyone with a 10 MM 1911 needing extra mags. I also have many MECGAR mags for Beretta and CZ pistols. They are all very good.

Civil Engineer

Well made magazines at very reasonable price! Comparable in quality as more expensive brands. Functioned great in my Kimber 1911. No problems with failure to feed. Liked them so much I bought four additional mags.

Add holes on bottom

I wish that Mac-Gar would have added the two screw holes on the bottom so that you could add a rubber extension to the bottom of the mag.to make loading a bit easier. Otherwise i would have given it a 5 star.

mecgar 1911 9mm mag

Works fine feeding rounds and last round hold open works correctly. Bottom slides off(push pin and slide) to get to the spring and follower. 9mm is hard to get a mag that works correctly but this one does fine. I'd buy more.

MecGar 1911 Mag

These are fantastic mags for a 1911 without a mag well. If you have a 1911 with a magwell you will need a mag with a butt plate. They look great and are well made. Mec-Gar is well known for making mags. I use them in full size and commander sized 1911s with out a flaw. They function flawlessly in both.
Pros:
  • I wanted a mag to carry a commander sized 1911. This mag is he ticket! Nice finish on them as well!!
Cons:
  • Will not function well with a 1911 with magwell.

the mec-gar 1911 stainless steel magazine works great in my 1911.very satisfied.I would recommend it to any one looking for a spare mag.The mag. slides in the firearm easy and feeds reliably every time.Great experience purchasing from optics planet.

Took a Chance and am Happy

Took a chance on these and I am very happy I did. Great magazines. Fit and finish is in line. No feed or lock in issues. Easy to load. Would like an upgrade option for a base plate cover. Have a feel that they will last a long time.

Factory mag

Works as it should. Ordered as an extra and this one is the same as the one that came with my 1911 so quality and functionality are on par. Seems to run fine for what it is and the price paid. Free shipping was a plus
