These are a great way to get the superior Mec Gar 18rd/20rd follower for use in Sig factory 15rd magazines.

If you nip off the little spur on the spring that locks into the 19rd basepad you can install the metal, 15rd, basepad onto the spring and then install it into a 15rd magazine for 17rds!

If you don't feel like trimming a spring, your factory spring with this Mec Gar follower will allow 16rds in a 15rd magazine.

The 19rd follower cannot be used on 15rd magazine bodies, its lips are too tall for a proper magazine seat.

As a 19rd magazine, when installed onto the Mec Gar 18rd magazines, the locking mechanism in not secure in the slightest. The 19rd basepad is very difficult to install but will slide off way too easily once loaded, likely launching a spring across the room/range etc... Horrible design, truly.

Its hard to rate this product... As a 19rd kit, it is awful, as a Mec Gar follower with included spring, its great.

This is a great product for upgrading 15rd magazines or getting parts for assembling extended magazines with slide lock for USPSA.

These are made for the Mec Gar 18 round Sig P226 9mm magazines; NOT for the 15 round magazines that the previous reviewer talked about. Be careful when buying upgrade parts. To be fair, Optics Planet was not clear in the item description as to what mags this kit would work for.

I ordered the replacement spring and follower for my Sig P226 15rd factory magazines. Replacement was easy but upon loading them was only able to load 14 rounds not 15 also the information that came with springs basically makes it sound like I would be able to add one more round, just the opposite it was minus one round
