I ordered these gloves for motorcycle riding. During the really hot summer months, while riding, air flow is the only coolant you have and I was wearing leather vented gloves. They worked fine for the backside of my hands, but the palms were still sweaty. These gloves are perforated on both sides which means that if you put your palms toward the wind, it will penetrate the palms and actually cool them. With the vented leather gloves the vents were only on top of the gloves. Using water on leather is a common way to cool your hands but most leather gloves are dyed and if you use water to cool your hands, you wind up with the dye staining your hands.
I like these gloves and the only negative I've found with them is the quality is the sewing. One of the seams on the right gloves at the base of the thumb is coming apart.
Other wise great summer riding gloves.
