Most Helpful Positive Review Very Bright
Note that this review is for the front sight (F.S). This is a very bright sight. Installation was easy. Too easy in fact, as the sight was loose enough in the dovetail to not require a press to fit it. MeproLight says to use Loctite 609 on it, so I suppose that's OK. If it moves, I'll use a shim under the sight to tighten it up, but I don't think that will be necessary. I'm sure that this is manufacturing tolerances and you should expect to need to file any new sight for a proper fit. Meprolight front night sight for pre 04 kaur pm9

As advertised,this sight is getting hard to find for pre 04 Kahr pistols. Shipping was a little more than I had expected but i was glad that they had this sight in stock. I wish they had the rear sight to go with it though.

Perfect fit

For those of us that own a K9 manufactured before 2004, there aren't many options for night sight replacement. When I bought the 2nd hand pistol in 2007, it had Trijicon night sights dated '99 but remained bright enough until recently and needed replacement. The Meprolights I have on other pistols are very bright at night and I was happy to find that they make night sights for my older K9. I had difficulty pushing off the old front sight (actually broke it off using a pusher and had to Dremel it off) but this is not the fault of the Meprolight. The new replacement front sight went on pretty easily, although I used a metal file on the underside to ease the pressure needed to push it back on. I used the NCStar Vism sight pusher for both the front and rear replacements. Overall, I am very happy my old K9 is now back in the game.
