Meprolight Kimber Sight Pusher Adapter - 1911 Style - 40439
This is a must have suplimental tool if you plan on purchasing the ML40440 USIT. The 40440 comes standard with a pusher best suited for rear sights. This 40439 is needed to work with most front sights, especially 1911s like Kimber and Les Baer. If you buy the 40440 then better buy this if you want full function. The 40439 provides good positive contact for the thin lip on the 1911s dove tail / Novack front sights. A definate must have for Les Baer or any other pinned front sight.
Pros: Solid and will last if used properly. Positive contact for 1911 front sights with minimal lip.
Cons: Only works with the ML40440 and should be a standard part with it not an add on

Excellent Tool
This adapter is specifically made to work with only the Meprolite Universal Sight Tool. This adapter is specifically madel for all Kimber 1911 style models. Other adapters are made for numerous other makes. The adapter is very well made and is worth every penney. The Universal Sight Tool and the adapters are pricey but when they are seen you will see that the are well engineered and built to very high standards adn are meant to stand up to very high pressures and long life. If you are into handgun sight changes this is the tool. It is made to stand up to professional use.
Pros: Very Accurately and Sturdy
