Would really be great if there was a date of manufacture on these sights! I have no idea weather or not they have been sitting on the shelf for 9 years or 6 months? I guess if the former, then the jokes on me!

Great low light sights!

I found these to be relatively easy to install, and when I took them outside at dusk, I was very pleased with the amount of illumination that the set has. They’re very bright and easily picked out in the dark.

  • bright and compact
Cons:
  • Tritium dims after 10 years
Best Used for:
  • low light acquisition

They fit well

These night sights fit well on my Galil which is an IMI parts kit built on a new receiver. I was able to use the old mounting hardware with these new sights. They glow bright and the price is really good. I was sketchy with the picture that opticsplanet uses but it is as described.

Galil Night Sights

These are true to the original galil night sight design, but it would be more accurate at night if you could replace the day post with a screw-in tritium post. That way you have the same exact aiming point and sight-in for both day and night. The sight-in difference is no big deal though- still serve my purpose.
Pros: excellent brightness as always from meprolight
Cons: not independent of day post
