Good visibility and contrast
I purchased this Meprolight f/r set for my SA xDM 3.8 9mm and found the contrast and night visibility to be good. Purchased a set of Trijicon night sights for my wife's Walther PPQ 9mm and compared the two. Trijicon front sight is WAY brighter but larger diameter and a tad higher than OEM. So I prefer the Trijicon for its greater acquisition speed in the dark. They cost about the same, too. For whatever that's worth.
Perfect replacement
Needed a replacement for my XD tactical 9, found this night sight for a really good price. After installing, one small adjustment put me back on target. The front sight is most critical when shooting, and this model by Meprolight certainly fills the bill. Thanks Optic Planet!!!

Bright, great contrast sights
I ordered Meprolight night sights to replace the OEM sights on my new SA XDM 3.8 9mm and found these to be nearly perfect:: bright and good contrast b/n yellow front and green rear sights. Not quite as bright as Trijicon HD, but not nearly as expensive either. I find the 3 dot arrangement just a bit slower to acquire than the XS Big Dot on my Glock, but then again, the Meprolights do not obliterate the target like the XS does. A bonus: purchasing through OpticsPlanet was a seamless transaction with fast shipping. I would recommend both to anyone!
