Most Helpful Positive Review Meprolight model 34045
I'm a do-it-yourself kinda guy. I thought the shotgun was already pre-tapped but it wasn't. So I had to take it to the gunsmith and have them install the sight for me. I'm pretty happy with the product after I got the shotgun back from the gunsmith. I like the fact that in a dark or low-light environment it's easy to find a reference on the end of the blued barrel. Pros: Works as expected in low light Cons: Have to take the shotgun to a gunsmith

Making your own custom night sight

by JKN, from OH, United States Written on July 31, 2014
The NAA Black Widow doesn't have a night sight available for it. Therefore I used a stationary belt sander to reduce the front sight height down to accommodate for the Tru-Dot height. I then drilled (with a #32 drill bit, then tapped to a 6-48 thread & made my own "custom" night sight using this bead. This is a very well made sight, & highly visible in both daylight & fading light....and of course, can be seen in total darkness if you need to "see & grab" your firearm in a hurry with no light source needed. It can be used for other applications as well so long as you know how to drill & tap a thread in steel. I added a night sight to a battery powered light so I could find the ON switch & location of the light in total darkness. This bead is inexpensive.....use your imagination!! I have other Meprolight products & they're as good if not better than anyone out there. Happy Camper!

Super Value

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 24, 2010
I am gunsmithing these glow in the dark night sights onto my S-12 shotguns, all I needed was to drill and tap the gas block and I now have sights on my home defense shotgun that are highly visible for no/low light situations.

At 24 dollars these are a super value that I could not find for less, no where near it.
Pros: High vis. in no/low light
Cons: They are not free? lol
