This receiver block is very secure. I have the 223 AR size as well. Best receiver block out there.

Handy tool.

Works really well. Sturdy. The gas tube slot is pretty handy. Didn’t use the trigger pin assembly hole. Solid lock up to my lower. Locks in well to my vice as well.
