Most Helpful Positive Review MI Blast Can (will fit 9mm!!)

Tight fit under my Foxtrot Mike's handguard but man does it look great! I won't be using those front M-lok slots due to the tight fit but that's fine with me. I was a bit worried this would need bored out to pass a 9mm round but I read somewhere that it was big enough to handle the larger diameter round. The can part itself is just under 2.75" in case anyone's wondering. The machining and finish are very well done on this thing. The 1/2"×28 threads on my CMMG Guard barrel made it a little harder to find a muzzle device as most 9mm PCCs are 1/2"×36 but I'm very impressed with this piece!

Highly Effective

Originally wanted the MWI Blast Diverter based on length but is was backordered. Opted for the Blast Can and could not be happier. Compared to a typical MD such as a bird cage on an AR pistol this provides a night and day difference of percussion, blast sound, and gas sending all down range. Now, its loud down range but for the shooter and those along the line this is a game changer.

Excellent design, finsish. Great for the range to reduce the muzzle blast to any spectators or shooters at the range. This particular model also works with 9mm carbine rifles, per the manufacturer. Though not stated here at OP.

Very cool-looking thread protector

It also nicely "extends" the look of a fluted barrel. I don't think it changes the recoil any, but it does direct the gas forward, making shooting prairie dogs next to your buddy more pleasant.

Blast can for the win

Bought this to finish a pistol build. Had a 10.5” barrel and a 12.5” hand guard, and the can extended 1/2-3/4 and finished with a great look.

Put one on my ruger PC9 and my AR. Definitely a good choice if your aim is to keep the fireball and muzzle blast directed down range and towards the target.

Nice Can for the price

Have 2 of these. One on my 5.56 and one on a 9mm build. Works great and looks great. I have shorter barrels and longer handguards on my guns. This can sticks out the end of my handguards and gives my guns a really good look.

Great tool

The build quality of this item is great. I like that it has the grooves on the outside that makes it easier grasp and tighten down. You can also use a wrench to tighten as well. What I really like is that the inside of the tube is tapered rather than just a straight open tube. The slots in the very front I think could be for using a straight edge item to tighten or loosen as well, such as the back side of a knife.

Heavy but made well

Decent price and does the job well. It’s heavy if that’s a concern as it may negatively impact the balance of an AR-15 pistol. Installation was easy, just take your time and use the proper tools. Gorilla tape helped me not to scratch the blast can.

Excellent!

Ordered this for my 8.1” pistol build and it is fantastic for directing that brain jarring concussion from the short barrel. Finish is great, figment was perfect and it looks mean. The shooters next to you will thank you as well!
