This is a duty grade mount and a must have for your duty grade optic. This is far superior to flat top, picatiney side mounts that you see in the market. It brings the optic as near to the bore as is possible, allowing me to operate using the same reliable cheek weld/sight picture as with my irons on the AKM. This is the other benefit, if my aimpoint pro goes down, I can still effectively use my irons without removing the optic. This is a great purchase if you take your fighting rifle seriously.
