Sweet mini QD rail mount for a side mounted AK! Put a red dot on it! Or green…
The version I own has the mini rail mount, forward position, which I installed onto my (Century arms) micro Draco AK with wood hand guard. For those familiar with this AK model, the rear sight is tacked onto the dust cover, so very little options for side mounts. The Midwest Ind. mount is a must have if you want a low sitting red dot. I’ve purchase some of the cheaper ones(2-3 piece designs) that all failed my drum mag test. The Midwest Ind mount not only survived the 75 rounds, but still held zero. Product doesn't work as advertised
The clamp gradually loosens under recoil. Eventually you lose zero as a result. The zero is also too sensitive to clamping force even ignoring the sliding back and forth. Wasted hundreds of dollars fruitlessly trying to zero, whereas RS Regulate has none of these issues.

Excellent Optic Mount for an AK
I have not yet used the product extensively, but it mounts quite easily to the side rail (the instructions are important). I installed it on a PSAK GF3 rifle and am using it with a Sig Romeo5 and the product is perfectly compatible with both. The product appears to hold zero and be plenty sturdy for my applications.
