Most Helpful Positive Review Great handguard
Nice handguard and easy to install. It comes with its own barrel wrench so you don't have to buy any tools if you don't have any. I installed this on a 7" barreled AR pistol and the only thing hanging outside of it is the flash hider. It comes with one small rail I used for mounting a flashlight. If you want to mount any other accessories make sure to order extra rails because not all rails are compatible.

Free floating hand guard for lightweight 300 BLK pistol

Mounting the handguard was easy. All parts were dimensionally correct, the finish was excellent. Used a torque wrench to set the barrel nut to 50 ft/pounds. The gas port cutout lined up perfectly. The short section of Pickatinny rail supplied with the hand guard was used to mount a green laser and the upper was finished. I have an AAC SDN6 silencer mounted on the pistol. The barrel length is 8.5 inches which was a perfect match to the hand guard.

Very nice piece of hardware would buy it again.

Great free float handguard

I've been using the Midwest Industries Gen 2 handguards for a little while. Like the thin profile easy assembly and quick removal (if needed). This series looks good in plain black or painted. Comes with the Midwest Industries barrel nut, and barrel nut wrench. Gave it 4 stars only because you have to take your barrel off and use the provided barrel nut. Standard barrel nut will not work. There are other options if you don't want to remove the barrel nut. I purchased extra barrel nuts directly from Mudwest industries for future upper builds so I can quickly take the hand guards from build to build and not loose zero on future upper builds.

Cons:
  • Have to use the MI barrel nut
