Very Well Made/Designed Handguard
Very stable with lots of rail space for accessories. Reasonably easy to remove the top and set screws for field striping. Stays cool and doesn't get flexed like plastic during rapid fire. All-around top quality product.
Nice upgrade, but a tricky install
Tricky install. There was a metal remnant from one of the bottom 6 threads on the inside of the handguard that I had to remove before I could begin. Then you have to get 3 pieces for the bottom section lined up properly and semi-snugged down, before going back and adding Loctite to each screw and tightening them completely. Then two set screws that rest against the gas tube to prevent rotation go on, then the top of the handguard screws on. (Don't worry too much, there are videos walking through the process.)
Overall, this is a nice upgrade over the polymer Kel-Tec handguard. There's more rails, and because they're metal and not polymer, there's more precision to the rails. Looks better too.

Nice Handguard
Great quality product, that's very sturdy metal yet still lightweight. So combines well with the polymer frame plr-16 I mounted it on. At first I had the black polymer one by another Co. it was ugly. Midwest did great here. Optics Planet shipping was awesome!

Excellent product and very fast shipping
I am very happy with my purchase, this front Midwest industries front forend for the Keltec plr is very well made. It was fairly easy to put on and the Finish is superb. If you're thinking about upgrading your plr so you have more rail space etc, this in my opinion is the best option out there. Would definitely recommend.

M. I. HANDGUARD & Sling
Took a little maneuvering but with a little patience great fit. Overall great look, awesome fit. I bought it for my Kel-Tech PLR-16. Definitely a must have with that p-rail. She looks and feels much better.

Robust, well crafted, and easy to install, oh, and it's a sxy little beast too. I highly recommend this hand guard for anyone looking to trick out their PLR 16, I only wish they made more goodies for the PLR.

WILL BE AN AWESOME ADDITION TO MY KELTEC PLR-16!!
I've had the plastic forend for a number of years, but heat has taken it's toll on the Keltec part, and distorted it! With this new metal handguard, my troubles will be NO MORE!! Midwest Industries and Optics Planet are fantastic companies to do business with!! Both have assisted me many times!

Handguard For KelTec Model PLR-16
This is a very well made and designed handguard. I had the Keltec plastic handguard on my PLR and was fine with it, however, when I tried to sight in my laser, the molded rail was not close enough for me to get my laser even close to target. The MI handguard for Keltec PLR-16 was certainly a good choice.

True to Specs
Midwest and Optics Planet come through again. The handrail with ample rail space is true to spec and is a perfect fit for the Kel-Tec PLR-16. The price was the best around and service was prompt and accurate.
