A solid upgrade compared to the original. You may find that the adjustable comb may not be tall enough for your face if using rail mounted optics. I have a relatively small face, and at the tallest setting it is just good enough for this application. The comb is also relatively small. This did not bother me, but your mileage may vary. The overall finish and tolerances are excellent. The checkering on the included plastic inserts provides a nice upgrade in overall grip, however they do leave a bit to be desired in terms of feel. Overall this is a substantial upgrade that provides a significant upgrade in durability & adjustability without sacrificing weight
