Very difficult to install, expected better
I've previously used a lot of MI products and been very happy with them. I liked the look of this item, but I found the mounting system to be very poorly designed.
Installation requires carefully fitting four "feet" under the mount and then threading screws in from the top to secure them. The "feet" are extremely difficult to fit into place and keep falling out. If you screw in one "foot" you can't adjust the position of the other ones, so it's a tedious and frustrating process to install. After several tries, I gave up.

Easy fit on fill size and elite models
It was a piece of cake to install. I had to use the longer screws on my HK factory gun . Red dot fits snugly and I looks great on the gun .

TopRail is tops!
Bought for MAC5 clone of HK. Fits fine and adds rail space. Real tight to get attachment screws loose but otherwise works great.

I took a gamble choosing this Midwest Industries top rail for my new HK MP5 22LR build. At the time of purchase, I personally was not able to find any evidence online that it would fit the 22LR model explicity, but the standard/non-mlok version (MI-MP5-OR) was a confirmed fit, and I figured that Midwest Industries wouldn't deviate from the base design. I know it's overkill for a 22LR, but there's so many cheap MP5 optic mounts on the market with such mixed reviews that I just wanted this to be the last thing to worry about on my rifle. Also, I'm not even sure if I would make use of the mlok slots, but who doesn't like the option?

There's an instruction video on Midwest Industries website, but the first time, I still had trouble lining up all the mounting screws with the feet perfectly. Also worth noting: the package comes with a set of longer mounting screws which I definitely needed to use to reach the feet given the dimensions of the reciever. After maybe 15 minutes of trying, I finally got the last screw to take, and I was incredibly satisfied to have this solid platform working! So, if you're reading this, this might be the only confirmation you can find that it fits the 22LR model. Cheers!
