Randy Hunt's Review of Midwest Industries MI Rifle Chassis Compatible with Ruger 1022

First of all I purchased a M-1 style stock for my 1022 a couple of years ago because this chassis was not in stock and had not been for several months. It was ok but not what I really wanted. Recently I found this chassis in stock at Optics Planet so I pulled the trigger. Im so glad I did. This allows a completely free floating barrel which is a must for true accuracy in the Ruger 1022.It made quite a bit of difference on a 100 yd shot. At 50 yds not as much. It may not matter to most to have 1/2" groups at 100 yds but to me it does. I like to have as much accuracy I can get with the lowest cost. Thats with a stock barrel. On top of that it allows mounting of any accessary you pretty much desire to personalize your 1022. Also it looks killer, pun intended. This is by far from what I have found the best bang for buck improvement you can make on your 1022. The only downside is aftermarket trigger groups are not all acceptable in this chassis. I had to purchase a BX trigger which is a 2.5lb pull. My previous trigger was better but this one is really good for under $90. Overall this is a great all around option.
