Works as should. I did need to remove some metal for fitting, was easy, just take your time. Not MIs fault tho that’s just the tolerances of AKs. Once fitted hand guard is rock solid. Now can mount light and angled grip on gun. This lower guard fits the gun perfectly, as it uses tab mounts and retainer just like oem hand guard. Also keeping the wood upper makes using a “c-clamp” grip possible without gloves on. All other mounts I have used that replace the top rail get stupid hot, stupid fast. The og wood keeps things tolerable.
