Most Helpful Negative Review Sizing is bizarre, liner is cheap, membrane performance is bad.
I’m 6’1”, 170lbs, athletic. Got a medium on final sale so can’t return. Liner is way too small, shell is sized well, fits nicely over any of my other down sweaters or thick hoodies. This combo would fit nobody correctly. Manufacturers website lists waterproofing and breathability as 5k + 5k. For reference this is terrible. Good 3L fabrics should be 15k + 15k or above, and it’s a difference you can really feel when you get moving. Yes it has put zips but moisture will still build up inside the shell at your back. My mistake for not doing more research.

Sizing is horrible

by Jeff, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on January 25, 2025
I bought this (Gen II) and the Gen I version in XL. The Gen I version is sized correctly. The Gen II fits like a size large -- Shoulders and chest are too tight. The arms are way too long so I'm not going to attempt to exchange it for an XXL. Only my fingertips stick out of the sleeves. I can only imagine how long the sleeves are on the XXL.

Unless you have really long arms and have a slender build, go for the Gen I for a better fit.
Pros:
  • Zippered pockets on sleeves
  • Velcor on sleeves
  • Slightly better fron zipper compared to Gen I
Cons:
  • Arms are way too long
  • XL fits like a Large in the chest and shoulders
